Our Favorite Things – Travel & RV Resources
Some of the below links are affiliate links in which we make a commission, but these are all products that we have personally used and highly recommend. We won’t list anything that we don’t personally love!
Are RV Memberships Worth It?
Well… some of them are. Here are the ones we use and love!
Passport America – we have for sure gotten our money’s worth out of this one! Save 50% on tons of campgrounds across the country. It’s only $44 for an annual membership. There are some blackout dates and restrictions, but we have been able to work around them to save a ton on camping! When we decide to stay in a campground instead of boondocking (which happens every so often), we typically always choose a Passport America campground. They also have an app that helps in finding campgrounds that participate.
Harvest Hosts is a one of the best RV memberships out there. Stay overnight at wineries, breweries, farms and more across the country! The annual $49 membership fee is a great deal, even if you take advantage of it only a few nights. They also have a great app for finding hosts across the country. Save 10% on an annual membership here!
Campendium is one of our favorite (free!) sites for finding places to stay. We like to boondock (dispersed camp) as much as possible, and this site is great because it lets you filter by price and has tons of great free boondocking options. Most of the information is user-submitted content and gives super helpful details about access to the sites, cell phone service, GPS coordinates, etc. They even came out with a (free) app recently!
All Stays is a fantastic app that we use frequently to find RV dumps, propane, road information, and camping spots. It lists state parks, national parks, Walmart, travel centers, and many more helpful locations. The app was $9.99, but it has definitely come in handy. We have been using it lately to identify which roads have steep grades (where we may need to unhitch!) The All Stays app has definitely come in handy for us!
